How these STAR's came to be formed ....

Stoke on Trent Telephone Area Ramblers (STAR's) was originally founded in North Staffordshire and South Cheshire in the 1980's by a group of BT employees who had a shared interest in outdoor activities particularly walking. Since then the group has grown and has gone from strength to strength.

We are a friendly group (an increasing number who have retired) who get together every month for a walk in the glorious English countryside. If you are interested in the outdoors joining a group like ours is, without doubt, the best way of meeting old and making new friends. While at the same time visiting some of the most beautiful places in the UK and it is also a fantastic way of keeping fit.
